Whether it’s Motocross, Supercross or any kind of freestyle mayhem involving revs and roosts, we’ve had a thing for bikes ever since our founder began his career by inventing a new kind of MX handgrip. Check the stems of COILOVER™ and you’ll see a work of mad genius inspired by the coil springs of moto machines. It’s a smack of attitude you won’t find on any other prescription eyewear frame, and we did it to honor the guys who made these sports what they are today.
It takes titanium to make this all-metal frame so unbelievably lightweight, and we didn’t stop there. An entirely new titanium flex hinge was developed for COILOVER. The nose pads are adjustable, and with the comfortable Oakley fit, the ear stems spread contact over an extended area to eliminate pressure points. We enhanced them with sleeves made of UNOBTAINIUM®, a proprietary innovation that increases grip with sweat. It’s the material our founder created when he reinvented the MX handgrip, which probably explains why we’ve got such high octane pumping through our technology and art.
